Graduate Insolvency Accountant – Melbourne

About the role

Hall Chadwick is seeking enthusiastic graduates to join its Insolvency team in Melbourne. You will gain hands‑on experience across insolvency and restructuring engagements, corporate transactions and advisory services while working closely with senior managers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the administration of formal insolvency appointments such as liquidations, administrations, receiverships and bankruptcies.
• Prepare statutory reports, correspondence and filings for regulatory bodies.
• Conduct investigations into company affairs, financial records and potential recoveries.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, employees, financiers, lawyers and government agencies.
• Support asset realisation, creditor distributions and claim adjudications.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Assist senior staff with stakeholder meetings, creditor communications and court processes.
• Analyse financial information and prepare summaries and recommendations.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Interest in advisory, insolvency or corporate finance.
• Studying towards or holding a CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Confident communicator and team player.
