Graduate Engineer – Urban Infrastructure

About the role
Join SMEC’s Urban Infrastructure team in Parramatta as a Graduate Civil Engineer. You will be part of a two‑year Graduate Development Program, gaining hands‑on experience on major rail and metro projects while receiving structured learning, mentoring and exposure to multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support design development, including preparation of drawings, models and technical documentation.
- Assist with engineering calculations and analysis for roads, drainage or structures under senior guidance.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to understand design implementation on live projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design inputs and meet project milestones.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Motivated problem‑solver eager to contribute to real‑world infrastructure projects.
Required skills
- Exposure to design tools such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D (experience with 12D or similar is advantageous).
