Grade 2 Clinical Pharmacist - Rotational (Part-Time)

About the role

Northern Health, a major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's outer north, is seeking a Grade 2 Clinical Pharmacist for its Pharmacy Department. This is a permanent, part-time, rotational position: the pharmacist will initially be based at Kilmore District Hospital but may rotate across other Northern Health pharmacy locations and service areas according to operational needs. The role includes weekend and public holiday work as required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy services across Northern Health's acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services
• Ensure excellence in client care, evidence-based practice and service improvement
• Contribute to risk management
• Work with the Pharmacy Department to achieve its strategic outcomes
• Opportunity to apply for AdPha-accredited Registrar training positions in specialties such as cancer medicine, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, general medicine, medication safety, mental health, pharmacy informatics and transitions of care

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
• Registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• At least 3 years of clinical experience as a hospital pharmacist
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care
• Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication skills
