About the role

This full‑time, on‑site General Practitioner role at Farrell Street Family Practice in Yandina, Queensland, provides comprehensive, patient‑centered primary care for individuals and families across all age groups.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, diagnose, develop treatment plans and provide follow‑up care for chronic and acute conditions.
• Perform routine health checks, prescribe medications, interpret diagnostic tests and coordinate care with other health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, adhere to clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements, and participate in practice meetings and quality‑improvement activities.
• Support preventive health initiatives, deliver health education and foster a respectful, inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.

Required profile

• Current medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with full AHPRA registration and appropriate specialist/general registration for general practice in Australia.
• Demonstrated clinical proficiency in medicine and family medicine, with experience in primary care, chronic disease management, acute presentations and preventive health.
• Commitment to ongoing training, professional development and participation in clinical education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with diverse patient populations.

Required skills

• Competence in using clinical software for record‑keeping, prescribing and referrals.
• Familiarity with digital health tools for patient management.
