About the role
This full‑time consultant position is based at Grafton Base Hospital in the Northern NSW Coast region. It offers a broad General Paediatrics service within a supportive regional referral network, combined with an attractive coastal lifestyle.
Key responsibilities
- Lead patient management decisions across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Run general paediatric clinics and manage admissions
- Provide neonatal and paediatric consultation services
- Participate in Hospital‑in‑the‑Home programmes
- Supervise and teach junior doctors and trainees
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and multidisciplinary teamwork
Required profile
- UK CCT in Paediatrics or senior trainee approaching CCT/Fellowship
- Eligibility for the streamlined Australian specialist recognition pathway
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality, family‑centred care
Required skills
- Broad General Paediatrics clinical expertise
- Neonatal care experience
