About the role

A private hospital in Northern NSW is seeking a PGY3+ doctor for General Medicine ward cover starting 1 February 2027 and ongoing. The arrangement is a week on, week off schedule with relaxed hinterland living near the coast. The hospital is looking for a Junior Medical Officer in Internal Medicine.

Key responsibilities

Provide ward cover for low-acuity post-operative patients
No emergency department and no trauma or unplanned surgery
Stay onsite during the Friday shift (64 hours) while meals are provided free of charge

Required profile

PGY3+ training level
Registered with AHPRA and right to work in Australia

What we offer

Pay of $1920 per shift Monday to Thursday (1600-0800) and $7680 for the Friday shift (1600-0800 next Monday)
Meals provided free of charge
Shared hospital-owned house; typically only one doctor stays at a time
Travel costs covered
