General Manager - Women's, Children's, Families and Surgical Services

About the role

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH), the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, is seeking a General Manager for its Women's, Children, Families and Surgical Services. This full-time senior executive role holds primary accountability for the operational and financial performance of a major division, working closely with Senior Medical Directors to improve clinical service delivery and patient outcomes. It also involves championing a culture of safety, inclusion and learning, and leading a diverse workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Drive strategic leadership and operational excellence across the cross-campus health services
• Hold primary accountability for the operational and financial performance of the division
• Work with Senior Medical Directors to enhance clinical service delivery and patient outcomes
• Lead a multidisciplinary workforce and build staff engagement

Required profile

• 5+ years of senior health sector leadership
• Master's degree in healthcare, business or policy
• Proven track record managing large budgets (over $100m)
• Strong clinical and corporate governance experience
