General Manager, Portfolio & Analytics

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a senior leader to establish and lead a sophisticated portfolio analytics, valuation and market risk function. This role will shape the way the organisation makes decisions on hedging, offtake, acquisitions and investment strategy across Australia and Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Define the market view that underpins pricing, valuation and investment decisions.
• Build a best‑practice portfolio analytics and risk management function.
• Lead forecasting, valuation and scenario modelling across the renewable energy portfolio.
• Provide trusted advice on offtake, hedging, acquisitions and new development opportunities.
• Influence executive and Board decisions through clear, evidence‑based insights.
• Develop the tools, systems and capability needed to support a growing business.

Required profile

• Commercially minded energy markets leader with deep technical expertise and strong business judgement.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems, challenge assumptions and translate market insights into commercial decisions.
• Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing technical, commercial and executive audiences.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modelling.
• Python or R for market modelling.
• SQL and market modelling tools.
