Future Student Advisor - Schools (Remote QLD)

About the role

Torrens University Australia is looking for a Future Student Advisor - Schools to join its Student Recruitment team in North Queensland. This is a remote-based, field-focused sales role based in Cairns or Townsville, combining school engagement, relationship management and student recruitment. You will represent the university at school visits, career expos, information sessions and other student engagement activities, and work autonomously to build your own pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with career advisers, teachers, school leaders and other key contacts in your territory
• Represent the university at school visits, career expos, information sessions and events, delivering presentations on study pathways
• Identify opportunities, nurture prospective students and convert enquiries into applications and enrolments
• Maintain accurate school, lead and student records in Salesforce, prioritise follow-ups and track recruitment activity
• Work with admissions, enrolments, marketing and student recruitment teams to support recruitment

Required profile

• Experience in sales, business development, student recruitment, account management or another target-driven role
• Ability to build relationships with schools, stakeholders, students and families
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage diverse audiences
• Proactive approach to lead generation and conversion targets
• Organisation and time management, able to work independently in a remote environment
• Attention to detail when maintaining student records and supporting admissions
• Higher education or VET admissions experience is advantageous; a relevant tertiary qualification is desirable

Required skills

• CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel
