Future Student Advisor - Schools (Remote QLD)

About the role

Torrens University Australia is hiring a Future Student Advisor - Schools for its Student Recruitment team in North Queensland, working remotely from Cairns or Townsville. It is a permanent full-time, field-focused sales role representing the university at schools, career expos, information sessions and student engagement activities, combining school engagement, relationship management, sales and student recruitment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain partnerships with career advisers, teachers, school leaders and other key contacts in your territory
• Represent the university at school visits, career expos, information sessions and events, delivering presentations on study pathways
• Identify opportunities, nurture prospective students and convert enquiries into applications and enrolments while working toward recruitment targets
• Maintain accurate school, lead and student records in Salesforce, prioritise follow-ups and monitor recruitment activity
• Work with admissions, enrolments, marketing and student recruitment teams to support a seamless student experience

Required profile

• Experience in sales, business development, student recruitment, account management or another target-driven role
• Ability to build relationships with schools, stakeholders, students and families
• Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage diverse audiences
• Proactive approach to lead generation and conversion targets
• Organisation and time management, able to work independently in a remote environment
• Attention to detail when maintaining student records and supporting admissions
• Higher education or VET admissions experience is advantageous; a relevant tertiary qualification is desirable

Required skills

• CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel
