Founding Head of Marketing

About the role

Kantoko builds a connected ADHD care service for Australians, and is looking for its Founding Head of Marketing. As the most senior marketing hire, you will lead and own marketing, shape its direction and decide where to focus, working closely with the founding team with autonomy and responsibility for results. It is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys building a function at an early-stage company.

Key responsibilities

• Build a distinctive, trusted brand in a category where credibility and patient experience matter.
• Lead the acquisition strategy, strengthen existing channels and find new ways to reach patients.
• Connect acquisition, content, communications and lifecycle marketing into a cohesive experience across the patient journey.
• Own marketing priorities, decide where to invest, run experiments, measure what works and stay hands-on.
• Shape the marketing capabilities, processes and resources needed as the company grows.

Required profile

• Experience across several areas of marketing and a good sense of how they fit together.
• Experience owning marketing initiatives end to end, from direction to execution and results.
• Strong commercial thinking alongside creative judgement and an instinct for what resonates with customers.
• Able to prioritise, make trade-offs and focus resources.
• Comfortable in an early-stage environment with evolving priorities and no established playbook.
• Collaborative, curious and proactive, with a focus on the quality and impact of work.
• Healthcare experience is not essential.
