About the role

Join the vibrant team at Bistro Suzette, a French‑inspired dining venue within Sofitel Brisbane Central, and deliver exceptional dining experiences to guests while upholding the highest standards of service and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve them promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned section and assist with set‑up and break‑down of dining areas.
• Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and communicate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy.
• Upsell menu items, promote daily specials, and respond to guest inquiries and concerns.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler's Certificate (required).
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (required).
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred).
• Strong customer service, communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb; flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Food Handler's Certificate.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
