Food & Beverage Attendant (Casual)

About the role

Ibis Adelaide, a purpose-built brand hotel opened in 2014 with 311 rooms, a restaurant and bar on level one and a conference space, is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Food & Beverage Attendant to join its team on a casual basis. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests professionally and with a friendly manner, upholding high service standards.
• Maintain accurate docket entries and manage the POS system so transactions are processed correctly and closed off promptly.
• Work with kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality, presentation and timely delivery.
• Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols during all food service operations.
• Keep the bar and restaurant areas clean, organised and visually appealing according to opening, closing and daily procedures.
• Assist with stock control, inventory management and room setup as needed.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns empathetically, and work efficiently during peak periods while supporting team members.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food and beverage service role or similar hospitality position.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, or ability to obtain it.
• Current work rights in Australia.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.

Required skills

• POS systems and cash handling.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Barista skills and experience (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving and attention to detail.
