Fleet Service Advisor

About the role

Cement Australia is looking for a Fleet Service Advisor to join its Pinkenba location, reporting to the Asset Performance & Reliability Manager and working as part of the National Fleet Management Team. The role coordinates purchasing requirements for internal operational customers, manages high-volume work orders and helps plan the fleet, with a personal portfolio to focus on.

Key responsibilities

• Manage notification and work order traffic so information and cost inputs are accurate, and monitor basic start dates daily
• Work with the Planning team and Fleet Manager to set accurate weekly cost estimates
• Work with external service providers and suppliers to approve and cost work in progress, and negotiate annual cost reviews and reviewed rates
• Ensure additional work is supported by current work orders and purchase orders, and update work order sheets
• Help build a reliable repair network supporting national road operations
• Create and update PO requests, complete PO creation and goods receipting, run the open PO report and manage amendments
• Allocate parts from stock to works orders and reorder them
• Use a mechanical triage process to defer work and keep the fleet safe and roadworthy
• Develop a sound understanding of the maintenance planning function

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant administration experience, preferably in the heavy vehicle and/or transport industry
• Experience managing high-volume work orders and purchase orders, and managing external vendors
• Strong understanding of heavy vehicles highly regarded

Required skills

• High-level Microsoft Suite skills
• SAP experience highly desirable
