Financial Services Tax Manager

About the role

EY is seeking a driven Financial Services Tax Manager to join its collaborative tax team in Brisbane. The role offers a hybrid work model, flexible hours, and the chance to work across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne delivering innovative tax solutions for financial services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Australian income tax advisory and compliance services to clients in banking, wealth management, asset management (including superannuation funds) and insurance.
• Advise a portfolio of financial services clients on complex tax issues, managing compliance, provisions and tax advice.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Oversee and develop a team to ensure high‑quality delivery of tax services while collaborating with EY’s global tax network.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Australian corporate income tax and/or fund tax experience, preferably from a top‑tier or mid‑tier accounting firm or corporate environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex engagements and influence outcomes.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with confidence to lead meetings and build networks.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear recommendations.
• Completed CA qualification.
