Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller reports to the Deputy CFO and leads a team of 12, including three direct reports. This permanent position is based in St Leonards with hybrid working options and oversees group‑level financial accounting, reporting and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end accounts, variance analysis and consolidated statutory financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with FBT regulations, statutory obligations and corporate policies.
• Oversee internal and external audit processes and maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage aged‑care and quarterly financial reporting, budgets and forecasts.
• Identify and drive efficiencies, develop internal controls and lead various finance projects.

Required profile

• CA qualified with a Big 4 background.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Financial Controller in an organisation with at least $300 M revenue.
• Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis and business partnering skills.
• Proven ability to manage, support and develop a skilled finance team.

Required skills

• Epicor financial systems (advantageous).
• Expertise in Australian accounting standards, FBT compliance and audit procedures.
