Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance Team in Perth. You will oversee financial accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with Group reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate financial statements and accounting records in line with policies, standards and statutory requirements.
• Lead local consolidation and prepare timely monthly financial statements, schedules and management reports.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including Group reporting.
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger, proper transaction recording, reconciliation and support.
• Improve controls, systems and financial governance.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounting Manager, supporting Finance staff development.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements and provide necessary documentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounting Manager role within a large corporation.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, able to translate complex financial information for non‑financial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet strict monthly, quarterly and year‑end deadlines.
• Tertiary qualifications and CPA/CA certification.
