Financial Accountant - Hands On

About the role

This is a hands‑on Financial Accountant position within a progressive, services‑led business in inner‑city Brisbane. You will support the month‑end process, work closely with the Financial Controller and senior accountants, and develop your technical reporting and control skills during a period of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end reporting, journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to compliance activities including BAS, PAYG and tax reporting.
• Support payment runs and perform bank reconciliations.
• Assist with audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Identify and support business process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in accounting or related field.
• Commenced CA qualification with at least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to engage with various business functions.
• Motivated to develop skills under mentorship from senior finance professionals.
