Finance Manager – Media & Entertainment

About the role

A growing media and entertainment business is looking for a Finance Manager to join a team that reports directly to a supportive CFO. The role covers financial reporting, consolidation, treasury, budgeting and commercial partnering, within a 5-day-in-office arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and core financial reporting
• Manage the group bookkeeper day to day, including training on accounting practices where required
• Maintain consolidated accounting practices, including intra-group recharges, inter-entity loan relationships and job costing
• Contribute to entity structuring, review the group's position against legislative changes and prepare and lodge BAS across group entities
• Engage directly with external auditors on the financial statement audit and support the consolidated tax return with external advisers
• Manage group treasury, including day-to-day cash and forward-looking cash planning, and support financial modelling for new loans
• Manage the end-to-end project loan flow: prepare loan documentation, capture financial data in the loan database and report to investors, borrowers and other stakeholders
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting across business units and help build new finance systems, structures and processes
• Work closely with internal teams, the CFO, the CEO and global stakeholders

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CA or CPA qualified
• Open to a strong first-time mover from mid-tier business services
• Experience with consolidations across multiple entities
• Experience working with auditors and tax advisers, and sound knowledge of BAS and GST
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence building or supporting financial models
• Clear communicator able to work with senior leaders and external stakeholders
