Commercial Finance Analyst - Property Portfolio

About the role

MECCA's Finance team drives strong commercial outcomes across the business and is looking for a Property Analyst to provide financial insight and analysis across its Property portfolio. Working closely with Property, Facilities, Retail Operations and Commercial Finance, the role helps shape investment decisions, improve performance and give the financial visibility needed for continued growth. The position reports to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly Property reporting, including feasibility analysis, capital expenditure tracking and post-investment reviews
• Partner with Property and Facilities teams to develop budgets, forecasts and financial assumptions across occupancy, overheads and capital expenditure
• Prepare financial feasibilities for new stores and maintain the Property pipeline and rent forecasts
• Develop financial models, scenario analysis and ad hoc reporting to support commercial decisions, projects and business initiatives
• Continuously improve reporting, processes and financial understanding across key stakeholder groups

Required profile

• 3+ years of analytical or commercial finance experience, ideally within Property, Retail, FMCG or Big 4
• Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
• Commercially minded and detail-oriented, able to turn data into clear insights and partner with stakeholders

Required skills

• Strong financial analysis, modelling and reporting skills
• Advanced Excel capability
• Confident partnering with finance and non-finance stakeholders and communicating financial insights clearly
• Experience with TM1, Tableau or data mining tools is highly regarded
