Finance Manager - ANZ

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager supports the day-to-day financial operations of the Australian business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective month-end close and compliance with Group policies and Australian regulatory requirements. The role works closely with the Financial Controller, Global Delivery Centre (GDC), Tax, Treasury and Group Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the monthly financial close for the Australian entities and prepare and review journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management reports and analyse significant balance sheet and P&L movements
• Review payroll journals and reconciliations, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
• Build strong working relationships with the GDC, coordinate its deliverables and resolve finance and accounting queries
• Monitor outstanding reconciling items, support compliance with Group finance policies and internal controls, and coordinate local compliance such as BAS support, insurance renewals and bank guarantees
• Support year-end statutory reporting, external audits and tax compliance with the Tax team
• Lead, coach and develop the Assistant Accountant, and promote a collaborative, accountable culture
• Support finance transformation, process improvements, system enhancements and ad hoc finance projects

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified (or working towards completion)
• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial reporting or finance operations
• Experience coordinating month-end close in a medium or large organisation
• Experience in a multinational organisation and with a GDC or shared services environment
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder management
