Finance Director – $250k Package + Bonus

About the role

This senior finance position offers end‑to‑end ownership of the P&L, balance sheet and commercial finance function for a flagship division of a leading listed group. Reporting to the GM of Finance and partnering with the Divisional MD, you will shape the finance capability and prepare for future CFO responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own full P&L and balance sheet – month‑end close, management reporting, reconciliations and analytical commentary.
• Lead forward‑looking FP&A – forecasting, headcount analysis, margin optimisation and budgeting against practice‑group revenue targets.
• Partner strategically with the Managing Director and practice‑group leaders as a trusted commercial voice.
• Manage statutory compliance – income tax, GST, FBT and listed‑entity reporting requirements.
• Oversee working capital and cash management, driving debtors and AP efficiency.
• Lead and develop a team of ~10 finance professionals, including offshore staff.
• Build commercial finance capability – FP&A discipline, practice‑group analysis and actionable financial insight.

Required profile

• CPA or CA qualified with deep technical accounting expertise.
• Proven experience in commercial business partnering and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Proactive, opinionated and capable of influencing senior decision‑makers.
• Aspiring to a future CFO role and ready to take on the next level of responsibility.
