Finance Business Partner - Commercial & Manufacturing

About the role

Insignia, a national distributor of industrial labelling and coding equipment with over 50 years' experience in the Australian packaging market, is looking for a hands-on Finance Business Partner to join its Wakerley, Brisbane team. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Production and Finance, the role turns financial data into insights that support decision-making and help improve profitability and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Operations and Production to drive business performance and decision-making.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Manage product costing, inventory analysis and profitability reporting.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and identify ways to improve margins and cost efficiency.
• Provide financial insights to support pricing, projects and operational decisions.
• Improve financial reporting processes, systems and controls.

Required profile

• CPA/CA qualified with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A or finance business partnering.
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and communication skills, able to turn financial data into actionable insights.
• Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Flexible working hours, able to accommodate month-end responsibilities and deadlines.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Manufacturing costing and inventory experience highly desirable.
• Microsoft Business Central experience advantageous.
