About the role
Join nbn as a Field Technician I in Darwin and help transform Australia’s digital landscape. This hands‑on, customer‑facing position involves installing, repairing and maintaining nbn services in homes and businesses across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Install copper and fibre cabling to connect premises to the nbn network.
- Fit and configure customer premises equipment (CPE) such as routers and modems.
- Diagnose and repair faults on site, ensuring minimal disruption for customers.
- Provide high‑quality customer service during each visit.
- Work independently, managing time and resources to meet daily targets.
Required profile
- Hands‑on, practical background – trade, construction, manufacturing or similar.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and clear communication with customers.
- Comfortable working independently and taking pride in quality work.
- Current, clean driver’s licence.
