Field Technician I – Darwin

About the role

Join nbn as a Field Technician I in Darwin and help transform Australia’s digital landscape. This hands‑on, customer‑facing position involves installing, repairing and maintaining nbn services in homes and businesses across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper and fibre cabling to connect premises to the nbn network.
• Fit and configure customer premises equipment (CPE) such as routers and modems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on site, ensuring minimal disruption for customers.
• Provide high‑quality customer service during each visit.
• Work independently, managing time and resources to meet daily targets.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, practical background – trade, construction, manufacturing or similar.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and clear communication with customers.
• Comfortable working independently and taking pride in quality work.
• Current, clean driver’s licence.
