Quality Auditor – Telecommunications

About the role

Ventia is seeking a Quality Auditor to join its Network Operations and Services team supporting the NBN Connections contract. The role combines remote desktop audits with on‑site inspections, providing technical guidance and coaching to improve network quality across Northern Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Audit completed and in‑progress telecommunications works to ensure compliance with NBN quality standards.
• Conduct desktop audits remotely, field audits of installations, live audits alongside technicians, and joint NBN audits in the field.
• Identify quality trends, recurring defects and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare quality reports, deliver recommendations to stakeholders and maintain accurate records.
• Support training programmes, coach and mentor internal technicians and subcontractors, and conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments where required.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Certificate III in Telecommunications or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong telecommunications industry experience with demonstrated knowledge of NBN standards and build requirements.
• Technical expertise in both copper and fibre networks.
• Understanding of cabling standards and installation practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
