Field Service Engineer – Prepared Food

About the role

Join JBT Marel as a Field Service Engineer supporting prepared‑food processing equipment across Australia. You will provide on‑site service, installations and preventative maintenance for high‑technology poultry processing machines, helping customers maintain superior performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance visits, report findings and ensure equipment operates within tolerances.
• Travel to customer sites to conduct service visits, troubleshoot production issues and install machine enhancements.
• Complete on‑site evaluations, calibrate parts and verify product specifications.
• Deliver break‑fix services on advanced food‑processing equipment and communicate effectively with customer management.

Required profile

• Trade‑certified in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and be available for weekends or out‑of‑hours work.
• Based within 1–2 hours travel time of a capital city or major regional airport.

Required skills

• Reading electrical and mechanical schematics, P&IDs and manuals.
• PLC programming knowledge – Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and Salesforce experience preferred.
