Facilities Manager - Shopping Centre

About the role

A prominent shopping centre owner in Adelaide's main retail precinct is looking for a Facilities Manager to join its centre management team. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will own the operational performance, presentation, compliance and project delivery of the asset. With an active leasing push and new retailers coming on board, a key part of the role is tenancy delivery: managing fit-outs, supporting the amalgamation of tenancies and getting new stores trading smoothly in a live retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hard and soft services across the centre, including cleaning, security, fire and essential services contractors.
• Manage tenancy delivery, retailer fit-outs and operational readiness for incoming retailers.
• Coordinate project and capital works on site, adhering to building management rules and minimising disruption.
• Manage the centre's operational budget, including forecasting, variance reporting and cost control.
• Maintain compliance, WHS and risk management across the centre.
• Build relationships with retailers, contractors and internal stakeholders while keeping presentation and customer experience high.

Required profile

• Facilities management experience in a shopping centre or retail environment.
• Exposure to development, refurbishment or tenancy delivery projects.
• Commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and an operational P&L.
• Solid knowledge of hard and soft services, including leading cleaning and security contracts.
• Proven contractor management and tenant engagement skills.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable and comfortable being hands-on in a lean team.
