External Auditor Manager

About the role

As a Manager in PwC's Adelaide Audit team, you will lead high‑quality external audit engagements for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete external audits of financial statements, applying professional judgment and substantive testing.
• Supervise and develop audit teams, delivering timely and high‑quality audit deliverables.
• Assess financial statement risks, evaluate internal controls and risk‑management frameworks.
• Prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings to senior client stakeholders.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance audit efficiency and client experience.

Required profile

• Australian citizen with ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
• 4‑6 years of external audit experience, preferably with a recognised CA qualification.
• Proven leadership and management experience in audit engagements.
• Strong client‑relationship skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of auditing standards.
• Expertise in financial reporting frameworks.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for financial statements.
