Experienced Civil Engineer

About the role

Ausenco is seeking an Experienced Civil Engineer to join its Newcastle team. You will design earthworks pads, access roads, drainage and related infrastructure in remote and challenging terrain, supporting business growth and project success.

Key responsibilities

• Design earthworks pads, access roads, drainage and associated infrastructure.
• Prepare simple plans, calculations, cost estimates and equipment/material lists.
• Gather and correlate site data, maintain drawing files and drawing lists.
• Communicate with project team members to identify needs and evaluate alternatives.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in an engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, 12D and/or Civil 3D.
• Drainage design using Rational Method.
• Software‑driven drainage tools such as 12d Drainage Network Editor, DRAINS, MUSIC, TUFLOW.
