Executive Director, People & Culture, Australia & New Zealand

About the role

The Executive Director, People & Culture (P&C) for Australia & New Zealand leads the P&C function across Disney’s operations in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. Reporting to the SVP, P&C (APAC), this senior leader partners with the ANZ Leadership Team to drive the people agenda, support business growth and ensure an inclusive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the ANZ P&C strategy aligned with global and regional objectives.
• Lead cross‑LOB initiatives, change‑management projects and organisational transformation efforts.
• Partner with ANZ leadership to create long‑term resourcing and structural plans.
• Build and manage a high‑performing, inclusive P&C team and oversee the full employee life‑cycle services.
• Collaborate with APAC COEs and global P&C partners to deploy regional initiatives locally.
• Drive diversity, equity and inclusion programmes and oversee WGEA reporting.
• Manage compensation, benefits, talent attraction, payroll and compliance with local employment legislation.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR leadership experience in a highly matrixed, multinational environment.
• Strong business acumen and proven ability to influence senior executives.
• Experience leading complex change‑management and organisational transformation projects.
• Demonstrated capability to develop and mentor high‑performing HR teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational savvy.
