Executive Director, People & Culture, ANZ

About the role

The Executive Director, People & Culture (P&C) for Australia & New Zealand leads the P&C function across Disney’s ANZ businesses, supporting offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. Reporting to the SVP, P&C (APAC), the role partners with senior leadership to drive people strategy, culture and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the ANZ P&C strategy aligned with global and regional objectives.
• Lead cross‑LOB initiatives, change management projects and organisational transformation.
• Partner with ANZ leadership to create long‑term resourcing and structural plans.
• Build and manage a high‑performing, inclusive P&C team.
• Oversee the full employee life‑cycle services including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations and payroll.
• Represent APAC‑P&C in global working groups and lead regional projects.
• Drive diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and manage WGEA reporting.
• Manage headcount reporting, budgeting and compliance with local employment legislation.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR leadership experience in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior executives.
• Proven track record of leading large HR teams and delivering strategic change.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational savvy.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of HR best practices across talent acquisition, performance, compensation, benefits and employee relations.
• Experience with HRIS implementation and payroll administration.
• Ability to lead diversity and inclusion programs and manage collective agreements.
