Everyday Banking Consultant

About the role

ANZ is hiring an Everyday Banking Consultant (banker) in Melbourne to help customers with retail, card and digital banking solutions, troubleshoot their issues and advise on other relevant products and services. No prior banking experience or qualifications are required; the bank teaches everything you need to know and provides ongoing one-on-one coaching and professional development. The role is permanent, full time (40 hours per week) at 833 Collins Street, Docklands, with rotating rostered shifts covering 8.00am to 7.00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Support customers over the phone with a large, energetic service team
• Assist 30-40 customers per day with everyday banking needs across retail, credit cards, fraud, disputes and digital self-service education
• Troubleshoot issues such as technical problems and lost or stolen cards
• Meet customer-centric, financial and risk targets where required
• Build banking knowledge through formal training and mentorship from leaders

Required profile

• Ideally customer-focused, with a strong sense of purpose in helping customers
• Active user and promoter of technology
• Strong work ethic, resilience and attention to detail
• Keen to learn the fundamentals of banking and build a new career
• Availability for flexible hours to match changing customer needs
