Events Sales Coordinator

About the role

Eureka 89, the events and dining space on the top floor of Eureka Tower in Southbank, Melbourne, is looking for a full-time Events Sales Coordinator. The role covers the sale, coordination and delivery of a wide range of events, including private celebrations, weddings, conferences and corporate gatherings. It is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys building client relationships, working towards sales targets and creating memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming event enquiries by phone and email, following up promptly and professionally
• Prepare accurate event proposals and quotes, identifying opportunities to upsell packages and add-ons
• Work towards budgeted sales conversion targets, event numbers, yield and monthly revenue goals
• Coordinate with internal operational, kitchen and wider teams so client expectations are met
• Maintain clear communication with new and existing clients through emails, calls and site visits

Required profile

• Diploma, certificate or equivalent in Event Management, Hospitality or a related field
• At least one year of experience in direct sales, event coordination or a similar hospitality role
• Experience working towards sales targets, budgets and conversion KPIs
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a proactive, adaptable mindset

Required skills

• Confident use of Microsoft Office
• Experience with reservation or event systems such as SevenRooms and iVvy (highly regarded)
