Enrolled Nurse - Oncology Ward

About the role

Albury Wodonga Health is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse (EN) for its Oncology Ward in Albury. The EN is an integral member of the healthcare team who delivers person-centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, within their scope of practice and organisational policies. The position is a permanent part-time opportunity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care, including patient assessments, observations, medication administration, IV therapy and implementation of care plans.
• Monitor patient progress, report changes in condition and contribute to admissions, transfers and discharge planning.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, dignity and positive patient experiences through effective communication and compassionate care.
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical documentation and take part in clinical handover.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and engage in professional development, mandatory education and performance reviews.
• Take part in quality improvement, risk management, incident reporting and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Follow occupational health and safety requirements and support compliance with accreditation and national healthcare standards.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Commitment and ability to practice in a patient-centred care environment.
• Ability to work in a team within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Knowledge of and commitment to performance improvement and risk management.
• Ability to plan and manage clinical activities as an Enrolled Nurse.
