Enrolled Nurse – Cooma Hospital (Permanent/Part‑time)

About the role

The Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join the multidisciplinary team at Cooma Hospital. This role offers both full‑time and part‑time permanent contracts, providing person‑centred care in a supportive rural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following clinical guidelines and patient care plans.
• Collaborate with doctors, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure safe and effective treatment.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and document observations accurately.
• Participate in health promotion activities and patient education initiatives.
• Contribute to quality improvement and infection control processes.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Recent clinical experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Commitment to maintaining professional competence and ongoing learning.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills within a diverse team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard nursing procedures and patient care documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
