English and Humanities Teacher

About the role

The English and Humanities Teacher delivers engaging, curriculum‑aligned learning experiences that develop students’ critical thinking, research and analytical skills. You will foster an inclusive environment and support student progress through ongoing assessment and feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English and Humanities lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP frameworks.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and track progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and the wider school community.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching.
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Required skills

• Ability to deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction in English and Humanities.
• Strong assessment and feedback practices.
• Collaboration and communication with staff, students and families.
