Employment Placement Consultant

About the role

The Procare Group is seeking an Employment Placement Consultant to help people with injuries return to work. The Sydney Metro location is preferred, but other regional areas will also be considered. Full-time or part-time positions are available.

Key responsibilities

• Use recruitment and career development skills to support people with injuries returning to work
• Build relationships with employers and organisations to generate suitable vacancies for clients
• Engage with the local community to identify employment opportunities and market subsidised programs that encourage employers to consider clients
• Meet clients face to face to build their confidence and independence in job seeking skills
• Liaise with and influence hiring managers on behalf of clients
• Help clients address key selection criteria and prepare them for interviews
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to help clients find gainful and durable employment

Required profile

• Mandatory: minimum 12 months' experience in a workplace rehabilitation setting
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving
• Honesty, integrity, team attitude and a positive approach
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English
• A local professional network is highly regarded
• Unrestricted driver's licence and own vehicle required
