Employment Consultant

About the role

APM Group is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Launceston site within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. This is a dual-focused role combining people support with sales, relationship building and administration, helping people with disability, injury or long-term unemployment find jobs.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with participants to understand their employment goals and coach them to be job-ready, competitive and interview confident.
• Help participants with resumes, interview preparation, job search strategies and access to training and upskilling.
• Advocate on behalf of participants to employers and secure job placements.
• Generate new opportunities through cold calls, employer visits and face-to-face engagement, and build a pipeline of employers.
• Pitch candidates, promote the value of inclusive recruitment and negotiate job trials, work experience placements and wage subsidies.
• Maintain employer relationships, track participant progress, manage compliance, documentation and data entry, and meet KPI targets.

Required profile

• Natural communicator and relationship builder who engages confidently with employers.
• Experience in sales, business development, recruitment or customer-facing roles.
• Eligibility to work in Australia, a current driver's licence and a fully insured vehicle.
• Able to pass a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
• Full-time availability Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
