Electrical Modeller – 3D Design for Rail Infrastructure

About the role

The Electrical Modeller will develop detailed 3D electrical models and design documentation for one of Australia’s largest rail infrastructure projects. Working within the SRL East Linewide Alliance, you will support stations, tunnels, depots, and associated building services, ensuring designs meet Australian Standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D electrical models and associated documentation using Revit MEP, AutoCAD and other modelling platforms.
• Prepare high‑quality electrical drawings in line with Australian Standards, client requirements and project specifications.
• Model and coordinate power distribution, lighting, communications, security, earthing, lightning protection, station services and rail infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, multidisciplinary design teams and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
• Participate in design reviews, BIM coordination activities and interdisciplinary workshops.
• Manage allocated electrical discipline work packages and resolve modelling, coordination and design issues.

Required profile

• Associate Diploma, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or related qualification (highly regarded).
• Experience as an Electrical Designer, Drafter or Modeller on transport, rail, building, defence, utilities, energy or major infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated experience developing electrical models and drawings for building services, transport infrastructure or high‑voltage systems.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary BIM environments.
