Electrical Maintenance Planner

About the role

BlueScope is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Planner for its Maintenance team at the Western Port Manufacturing facility in Hastings. The role uses comprehensive electrical knowledge to coordinate and plan maintenance activities and improvement initiatives, including inspections and monitoring methods, detailed work planning and work scheduling and execution. It suits a highly skilled electrical tradesperson who wants to move into the heavy industrial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule maintenance work and carry out detailed planning of work
• Develop, implement and manage shutdown maintenance plans and schedules
• Coordinate resources, labour and materials for shutdown maintenance projects
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to achieve cost-effective execution and delivery
• Coordinate task dependencies and integrate maintenance with other shutdown operations
• Capture and review maintenance history to improve maintenance strategy
• Analyse past work orders so follow-up work is captured and acted on
• Align Safety, Quality and Plant Critical priorities with key stakeholders
• Supervise internal and external resources
• Manage and control maintenance spares use, refurbishment and replenishment
• Handle administrative tasks such as purchase orders, invoicing and cost review

Required profile

• Technical skills and experience maintaining equipment in continuous production facilities
• Demonstrated experience planning and scheduling inspections and maintenance of site equipment
• Electrical trade qualification preferred; electrical engineering qualifications with practical experience also considered
• Highly developed communication and influencing skills
• Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
