Electrical Engineer - Transport (Traffic Signals & Public Lighting)

About the role

Egis Group, a multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy operating across Australia, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical solutions for street lighting, traffic signals and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects throughout Queensland. The role suits someone who wants to work on complex, high-impact transport infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit EQL documentation for Rate 2 and Rate 3 lighting designs.
• Ensure compliance with EQL, TMR, council and Australian standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in public lighting design within EQL (Rate 2 and Rate 3).
• Proven experience in traffic signal design for TMR, BCC and other councils.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Australian standards, including AS/NZS 1158 and AS/NZS 4282.
• Experience with design tools such as Perfect Lite, AGI32, PowerPac and AutoCAD.
