Ecommerce Trading Operations Specialist

About the role

A global lifestyle and streetwear brand is recruiting an Ecommerce Operations Specialist in Melbourne to run the day-to-day operations of its online store. Reporting to the Merchandise Planning & Trading Manager, the role covers product setup, launches, site management and conversion, in a fast-moving, growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Shopify Plus operations and onsite merchandising
• Set up, enrich and maintain the product catalogue, including content, imagery, sizing, collections and attributes
• Run the ecommerce launch calendar across product drops, campaigns and key trading events, including QA before go-live
• Coordinate launch readiness with Marketing, Product, Operations and Logistics teams
• Monitor inventory availability so stock is accurate online and launches are ready to trade
• Own the website changeover calendar and build landing pages, collection pages and campaign content
• Support conversion rate optimisation, including customer journey reviews, A/B testing and site enhancements with external partners
• Report on traffic, conversion, AOV and product performance and turn insights into improvements
• Help build and improve ecommerce processes as the business scales

Required profile

• 2-4 years' experience in ecommerce, digital trading, ecommerce operations or online retail
• Hands-on Shopify experience (or a similar platform) across product, merchandising and content
• Experience executing product launches, website updates and promotional campaigns
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Operations and external partners
• Preferred: exposure to fashion, lifestyle, sport or consumer brands
• Preferred: tertiary qualification in Business, Digital, Commerce, Retail or similar

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ecommerce metrics such as traffic, conversion and AOV
• Strong Excel and GA4 skills
• Preferred: exposure to SAP, Power BI or Tableau
