Key Account Manager - Construction Sales, Corio

About the role

A permanent, full-time Key Account Manager is sought for the Corio site, covering South West Melbourne. You will focus on winning new business and building a customer base across the construction sector. It is a hands-on, field-based sales role spent mostly on the road, prospecting, cold calling and meeting customers.

Key responsibilities

• Hunt for and win new business across South West Melbourne, building a customer base from the ground up
• Prospect through cold calling, site visits and face-to-face meetings across the construction industry
• Manage a small portfolio of existing customers while keeping a strong focus on new opportunities
• Use local market knowledge to grow the company's presence in a highly competitive region

Required profile

• Genuine hunter mindset with a passion for winning new business
• Proven B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in construction, steel, building products or a related industry
• Track record of identifying opportunities, converting prospects and building a customer base
• Confidence working autonomously and managing a defined sales territory
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
