About the role

The Animal Referral Hospital in Wollongong is seeking experienced emergency or GP veterinary nurses for full‑time or part‑time positions. Join a close‑knit team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of patient care across the Illawarra region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver timely emergency treatments.
• Monitor patients, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols.
• Support and guide pet owners during stressful situations.

Required profile

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Previous experience with complex emergency cases.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, team‑player attitude.
• Flexibility to work rotating roster including days, evenings, overnight, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Veterinary nursing qualification (Cert IV).
• Experience handling emergency veterinary cases.
