Duty Manager - Felons Barrel Hall

About the role

Felons Barrel Hall, a venue at Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane, is looking for a Duty Manager to lead its day-to-day operations. The venue brings European beer hall energy with expertly crafted beer, live music and a calendar of events. The role suits a natural leader who enjoys developing people and thriving in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the floor and drive guest experience and team culture as a hands-on manager
• Coach and support Food & Beverage Supervisors and Attendants
• Manage wages, comps and wastage while keeping venue presentation standards high
• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents and near misses
• Act as a brand ambassador with strong product knowledge and connection to the brewery story

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor in a busy hospitality venue
• Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Able to stay calm under pressure and lead from the front
• Hands-on approach and availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Current RSA
