Duty Manager – Car Rental Operations

About the role

Join SIXT Australia at Brisbane Airport as a Duty Manager on a 12‑month contract. You will support the frontline team, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer experiences in a fast‑paced car‑rental environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales performance through coaching, upselling and monitoring key metrics.
• Lead front‑ and back‑of‑house teams to deliver seamless customer experiences and smooth daily operations.
• Oversee fleet planning, vehicle availability and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints, using feedback to improve service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures, asset and key management.
• Manage rental bookings, agreements and customer data accurately via tech platforms.

Required profile

• Motivated sales talent with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Experience in sales, customer service or tourism; vehicle‑rental experience desirable.
• Strong leadership, supervisory and communication abilities.
• Highly organised with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work a rotating roster from 6 am to midnight, including weekends and holidays.
• Current provisional or full driver’s licence, working rights in Australia and ability to pass a National Criminal History Check.
