Dump Truck Operator - Open-Cut Coal Mine

About the role

An established open-cut coal operation in the Bowen Basin is looking for experienced dump truck operators, with travel options from Townsville. The team operates a large haul fleet, and immediate starts are available, subject to onboarding and site clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate haul trucks as part of the production team
• Complete pre-start inspections and report faults
• Follow site procedures and communicate clearly, with a consistent approach to safety

Required profile

• At least 12 months' production mining haul truck experience, including CAT 777 as a minimum
• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (must already hold these)
• Current Australian driver's licence and national police check
• Relevant RII competencies
• Safe operating practices and reliable attendance

• Rates up to $77 per hour, with superannuation and Coal Long Service Leave on every hour worked
• 7/7 rotating day/night roster, with BIBO from Townsville
• Camp accommodation and meals provided during your swing, camp 5-10 minutes from site
