Drainage Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Drainage Engineer to join the Suburban Rail Loop East Linewide Alliance, delivering major transport infrastructure across Melbourne. You will own drainage design from planning through to delivery, ensuring safety, quality and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and model drainage solutions for road and rail projects using specialised software.
• Produce design documentation and ensure compliance with Austroads and State Transport Authority standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage designs into overall project plans.
• Support construction delivery and provide technical guidance during implementation.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience on civil infrastructure projects with consultants, contractors or government agencies.
• Strong understanding of drainage design complexities in transport environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with drainage modelling software.
• Knowledge of Austroads and relevant State Transport Authority guidelines.
