Divisional Head of Finance – $250k‑$270k + 20% Bonus

About the role

This is a senior finance position that offers end‑to‑end ownership of the P&L, balance sheet and commercial partnering for a flagship division of a leading ASX‑listed services group. Reporting to the Group CFO and working closely with the Divisional Managing Director, you will be positioned to become CFO‑ready within three years.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full P&L and balance sheet, including month‑end close, reconciliations and analytical commentary.
• Lead forward‑looking FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, headcount analysis and margin optimisation.
• Partner strategically with the Managing Director and practice group leaders as a trusted commercial voice.
• Manage statutory compliance, income tax, GST, FBT and listed‑entity reporting requirements.
• Oversee working capital, cash management, debtors and accounts payable to improve cash conversion.
• Lead and develop a team of ~18 finance professionals, including offshore staff.

Required profile

• CPA or CA qualification with deep technical accounting expertise.
• Proven experience in commercial business partnering and senior finance leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large, transaction‑intensive operation.
• Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
