Director - Workforce Advisory and Market Growth
EY · Perth
Job description
About the role
EY is looking for a Director to join its People Consulting team and grow the practice across Perth. You will work with some of Australia's largest organisations, particularly in the resources sector, driving business development, building strategic client relationships and helping them transform their workforce, leadership and operating models. The role is hybrid, based in Boorloo (Perth, preferred) or Meanjin (Brisbane), and may be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the growth of the People Consulting practice through go-to-market strategies, market presence and emerging client needs across workforce, leadership, culture, change, organisation design, HR transformation and the future of work.
- Lead opportunity identification, pursuit and conversion, build a strong pipeline, write proposals and negotiate, and contribute to revenue growth.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite and senior business leaders and bring insights and solutions that create measurable value.
- Expand existing accounts by connecting Consulting, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, Risk and Assurance to deliver integrated solutions.
- Represent EY in industry forums, networking events and client roundtables, and contribute to its brand as a market leader in workforce and organisational transformation.
- Coach and develop consulting teams, support recruitment and capability building, and oversee client engagements for quality, commercial outcomes and compliance with risk and quality requirements.
Required profile
- Proven success in business development, account management and revenue growth in a Big4 consulting, professional services or related advisory environment.
- Strong networks across the resources, energy, government or broader WA market, with executive-level relationships.
- Experience leading discussions with senior stakeholders on workforce transformation, leadership, culture, change management, talent strategy and future workforce challenges.
- Ideally: Big4 or professional services experience, leading large pursuits and complex transformation projects, and a strong understanding of the resources sector.
Required skills
- Commercial acumen: opportunity qualification, deal shaping, proposal development, pricing and negotiation.
- Understanding of workforce issues such as digital transformation, AI adoption, workforce planning and skills-based organisations.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate confidently with executive and board-level stakeholders.
- Nice to have: data-led mindset, workforce analytics and AI awareness.
What we offer
- Career development with future-focused skills and world-class experiences.
- Flexible work arrangements.
- A benefits package including a yearly wellness incentive, an extra 8 weeks of flex leave per year, and family-friendly policies including up to 26 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave.
